Tips for dealing with anxiety?
I suffer from anxiety and currently not taking any medication as I prefer to deal with using natural non medical methods.
I drink moderately, swim frequetly, avoid negative situation or people to ease anxiety. However it is now much better than earlier in the year but I still find it a little hard to deal with sometimes especially in a social situation. I find it hard to talk to people and being deaf does not help sometimes. Any tips please.

ok….. since i have anxiety i can relate! it is very hard but some of the doctors still dont know why it happens. try taking medicine. You have to at a time like this. TRUST ME IT WILL HELP!
also seeing a therepy doctor might help. she/he will give u good tips on how to keep that anxiety away.
if you are extremely anxious about life, then maybe you should consider having some therapy. it seems that you have a great lifestyle, so it doesn’t look like there are medical reasons for it. have you had a negative, troubled or broken childhood? sometimes bad things in the past can lead to sadness in the future. do you have plenty of friends? that could be a reason. you probably should persue the case with your doctor, he/she will be able to help.
I have high anxiety but don’t know how to deal with it. It is really holding me back in my life. I want so much to make myself better but it’s so hard with this thing stopping me. It’s like trying to run through a brick wall and most people just don’t understand. I do find though that listening to slow, calming music helps. I prefer to listen to R & B Slow Jams and slow soul songs. This really relaxes my mind.
Hello. I too suffer from anxiety and panic attacks. If no one has been in our situation, they DO NOT UNDERSTAND!!!!! At first, I couldn’t even be around my family or friends….I would "freak out". As for going into a store, FORGET it. If you choose not to take medication, I would look on the internet for herbal meds to help you deal with this. I have had anxiety for about 10 years now, so at the time, I was unaware of herbal meds. I wish I would have know about them because now I am addicited to the meds that I take. It is aweful. Anyway, I hope this helps and I hope that you feel "better" soon.
You could talk to your Doctor and ask them about talking a councilor or therapist to help with your anxiety but not take any medication just talk to someone.
I have been using this alternative therapy called Emotional Freedom Technique on my anxiety and depression which has helped me a lot. It’s very good at getting rid of all kinds of negative emotions and dealing with all kinds of issues quickly. It does sound crazy but does work. It might be something that can help you with your. If you type anxiety in to the search engine of emofree.com you should find some arcticles about EFT helping people who have anxiety. Try some of the techniques from the third link.

think about anything else other than how you FEEL. Engross your self in thinking about others or what you could do for them. Read, put your mind on anything other than you.
I’ll second the recommendation to use EFT. It really works wonders for anxiety.
