He referred me to see a mental health doctor on the 22nd of this of this month… I’ve never had to see a mental health DR so I am pretty nervous…. I’m just wondering… How is generalized anxiety disorder treated? It sprang up out of nowhere about 2 years ago and the attacks are random, frequent, and I can’t figure out the trigger… Any info you can give me is great, thanks

I am looking for tips on dealing with my anxiety disorder. I’ve had generalized anxiety disorder since i was 7. I’m now 14 and going into high school next year. I also have panic disorder, phobias, and I am afraid of being trapped into places. I don’t like elevators. I try to be normal. I have a very hard time making friends. I just never feel good about myself. By the way, I am medicated and go to a therapist. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have been diagnosed with Generalized anxiety disorder and panic attacks but i am not currently being treated for it because i have no health insurance and am currently unemplyed. My panic feels like its getting tremendausly worse. It is very surreal and i feel constantly in danger of my life. I can always feel my heart pounding and im really afraid all the stress is making me really sick. i quit smoking cigerettes i cant even eat fast food anymore because i think its gonna give me a heart attack. Im nineteen and have lost my lifve because of this. I shouldnt have to worry about things like this. i just wanna know is panic this strong and its all in my head or could it be something more??

No drugs, no therapy… Is there anything I can do to help with the nervousness and anxiety attacks? I have Generalized Anxiety Disorder… Blaaahhh, I need help.

I went to the ER about 2 months ago because of an anxiety attack. He referred me to see a phychologist. He said I’m developing generalized anxiety disorder. I worry all the time about me health because of the anxiety symptoms. I don’t get attacks anymore…I’m just in a state of anxiety all the time. I’ve had a blood test, EKG, and a thyroid test. I have symptoms like chest pain, tingly arms & hands, headache, nausea, dizziness, fatigue etc.

I feel anxious all of the time and I have read about generalized anxiety disorder. Is there another way, besides therapy, that I can be daignosed?

I’m 15 years old and have Generalized Anxiety Disorder. What exercises can I do to feel relaxed and good? Now that school is over in a few days, I plan on exercising every day. What is a good website that show exercises for this king of problem? Also what are good breathing exercises?

What is the difference between having anxiety, and having generalized anxiety disorder?

I have an anxiety disorder….it is GAD (generalized anxiety disorder) stemming from panic disorder. If I am constantly worrying that I have a brain tumor (I’m 14) and that I’m going to have a seizure at any given moment, how can my adrenal gland affect my body? People in the medical field or with experience only please….thank you!

I have been taking zoloft and klonopin for anxiety for a while and I think it is no longer helping enough. I am thinking of switching to a different ssri and ativan (instead of klonopin). Any suggestions on what the best med is for generalized anxiety disorder. Thanks!
