Go to your normal doctor, he/she will recomend someone to you.
I have a pretty bad anxiety disorder and first i went to my doctor, got reassurance then i got counselling.
And dont worry everything will be okay i promise. You just have to go deep and find the cause of things. I thought i was dying when i had a panic attack and it all got better.
Yes, go to see your regular doctor.
You might need a referral from your primary doctor to see a psychiatrist. Go see your primary doctor soon so he can get you the help you need! good luck to you!
Your primary knows you best, and can prescribe something to help you if need be. It will be trial and error, but if necessary you can get referred to a psych. Be patient stick with it and you will get the help you need. It is not a dead end, there is a lot of help out there. Keep at it and good luck.
If you have medical insurance that includes mental health, you can call the number on the back of the medical card and they will give you the names and numbers of psychiatrists that accept your insurance. I have found that sometimes psychiatrists want you to have a therapist as well in order to treat you. Psychiatrists generally are like medical doctors, they diagnose and treat medically with medications, but if you need talk therapy you will need a therapist. You can get one the same way as a psychiatrist. Hope this helps!
You are right. See your doctor and he will get you on the track to feeling better. I wish you well!
I don’t know what country you are in, which will make a difference. But anxiety is either biological or psychological. I have seen many doctors, counsellors and psychiatrists but the best help I ever got was called cognitive behavioural therapy. This allowed me to realise that when I was in a crowd and suffering from anxiety, it hadn’t just come from nowhere. I learned that there were biological factors which led to it, for me my anxiety is very much controlled by diet.
I got help by going along to my local community health centre. I don’t know if they have something like that in your country, but this is a free service in Australia where you go along with whatever issue you have and talk to someone and they set up contact with a doctor, social worker etc whoever is relevant and then you are on the path to recovery.
at least get a physical. that as waht i was told
