How do you deal with stress or anxiety?
I’ve recently found myself very stressed at work and someone i considered a friend seems to be harrasing me. It’s all very odd and I should be totally losing it but i’m not and this surprises me. I am positively miss smiley and think this is my self preservation kicking in. Anywho my question is how do you deal with it?

mmm two things here me thinks…
stressed at work- i couldn’t solve that one, i faced up to why i was stressed and got absolutely no support from my emplyers and then got moved into an even more stressful position.
stressed with another employee- now that could be a bit different. I started to look at the people who seemed to be argumentative or stirring and began to think that they were playing a game to just try and provoke a response.
Once i took on this mindset they immediately stopped being a cause of frustration and became a source of amusement.
I hope this works for you dude – most important of all- keep your chin up
work out…getting your heart pumping releases endorphins (natural pain killers). it can work wonders for anxiety and stress.
smoke myself
Learn relaxation techniques such as yoga stretching on your breaks, meditation is great, (especially T.M.) and detach from those you find annoying.
ignore it
Why don’t you try to make some exercise. Doing so release a lot of stress. Take it easy. And during work hours, when you feel stressed. Close your eyes, and start to breathe deep. 3 to 5 times. Take a glass of water after doing this.
And about your friend, why don’t you talk with him/her. And try to find what’s going on.
try sitting a time aside like an hour to use for worry and get it all out in that time period. Mentally go over every thing that is bothering you and come up with solutions and the worst thing would be death and even face that in your head. Try this site http://www.lime.com/meditation_rooms and they have forest, floral, water, space , winter, and zen rooms with audio for meditation and stress reductions. Well worth the time for relaxing before going to bed. Set the scene with some candles , etc. and enjoy and watch your stress melt away. Positive affirmations are always good for me also.
If at work I take a deep breath and take a walk to get a drink of water. If at home i have a beer in the shower and then take a naked nap.
i still tryin to work that 1 out and need too fast as feel as though i goin to crack up
go to the gym or even better take a run in the park with nature around you. It makes you feel happy and incontrol plus you will be glowing and looking great from it.
I always think the best way to deal with stress and anxiety is to write down whats worrying you on paper and adress it.
Congratulations! Keeping a cool head is an important thing in dealing with stress. Being miss smiley is but one of the better ways to make yourself feel good. Talking things out with someone always help to lift some of the weight off your problems, and in doing so, you also get rid of some of the things on your mind. This helps you to see things a lot better. If you do not have a SAFE person to talk to about things, I highly recommend calling a hot line where you are an anonymous caller and you can talk freely without a backlash. When you have a lot of problems, sometimes you need to talk and get rid of the unnecessary thoughts. I look at it as something like a cluttered closet. As you get rid of the junk, you can see what you need to see a lot better. Then you can make better decisions as to how to deal with things. Getting rid of the stress also helps to get rid of some of the anxiety.
Full body massage with aromatherapy oils.
General rules – alcohol, dope, over-eating, etc. are not the way out. If they are then you are on the way to worse troubles.
Good things. write your thoughts down, getting them on paper will help to clear your head. Also as you build a log you can see things more clearly.
Exercise is good, talking to someone who is sympathetic helps. I always think exercise is good for depression, and relaxation good for anxiety. Try to keep a space or a time free from bad influences – a walk somewhere green is good.
Ruminating – going over things is not good, doing things is good. Reading newspapers, obsessively texting, e-mailing surfing, shopping – all can be compulsive behaviours.
Getting lost in a book or film, driving, making something with your hands. More extreme activities – horse riding orienteering, swimming all these push you into the real world and out of your head.
Finally – if it gets too much – see a doctor., If you have let it build up too much if you are about to flip, walk in to A&E and tell them.
